The Business Events News Team
Business Events News is produced three times a week by a dedicated team of experienced professionals. Our aim is to offer the Meetings, Incentive, Conference and Events industry all of the relevant information they need, as well as providing an entertaining and edifying read.
Business Events New’s staff include:
Jasmine O’Donoghue, Reporter
Jasmine is a journalist with experience across a range of rounds, including food, technology and news media. Breaking news, writing in depth features, interviewing industry figures, producing the Face to Face feature, placing content from the editor and sub-editing the publication – it’s all in a day’s work.
Jasmine also manages Business Events News‘ social media accounts, uploading new stories to Twitter, Facebook and Google+ so you can blame the bad puns on her.
Marketing and Advertising
Sean Harrigan, Sales and Marketing Manager
Magda Herdzik, Sales, Production and Marketing Executive
Bruce Piper, Managing Editor
Bruce changed his career completely when he and his wife Jenny bought Travel Daily in 2004. He’s proud of his more than 20 years as an electrical engineer but thinks the travel industry is a lot more fun! Bruce created Business Events News in late 2011 with the first official issue of the publication being sent out in Feb 2012.
Bruce and Jenny have grown Travel Daily to hold a significant place in the Australian travel publishing scene, and are proud of Travel Daily’s reputation for accurate and timely reporting – as well as providing something to smile about each day.
Bruce loves writing the Window Seat column, writing quirky photo captions and fiddling with computers, and when he’s not working enjoys spending time with their three teenage children as well as being involved with his local church.

Jenny Piper, Managing Director
Like most women, Jenny is a great multitasker, combining various roles within the business with running a family. Her day to day role sees her managing the company’s finances, staff and strategy, but she also writes some features and drives the development of Travel Daily’s popular supplements.
Jenny has been in the travel industry since she and Bruce purchased Travel Daily, and before that worked as a pharmacist as well as bringing up three children.
When she’s not in the office Jenny enjoys spending time with friends and activities with her family. Her favourite place in the world is Vincentia on the NSW South Coast.
