BEN breaking news – One&Only to manage Wolgan Valley

Hayman operator set to take over from early 2015.

One&Only Resorts will manage Wolgan Valley Resort and Spa, Emirates has confirmed.

It would be the second Australian resort for the Kerzner International Holdings Limited subsidiary, which it was set to manage from early next year, the companies said.

A spokesperson for the companies said a specific date would be released soon, as would information about a general manager appointment.

While Emirates would no longer directly manage the resort, it remained “firmly committed” to Australia and would continue to do its part to support tourism through its flights linking the country to major cities and through sponsorship of major events, Emirates Airline president Sir Tim Clark said.

“We are proud of all that the resort has achieved, but now we feel that it is time to work with a partner to expand the Wolgan experience and take the resort to new heights.

“We are confident that Kerzner International, under the One&Only brand, is the perfect partner for Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa.

“They not only have the same high service quality standards that we demand of ourselves, but are also innovation-driven, and most importantly, they share the same vision for the resort as we do.”
